The Green Texas Cichlid doesn't come from Texas at all, but hails from N.E. Mexico. For a 10 inch fish this species is a real bully. Do not keep with smaller mild cichlids like Firemouths for example. Best kept in 150 gallons or larger aquariums. This species belongs to the Herichthys grouping of Cichlasoma.
