The Convict is one of only two under 6 inch cichlids to make the charter list. This high strung nervous little fish is inch for inch as nasty as they come. An ideal beginers real men don't eat quiche cichlid. Hails from the Great Lakes of Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras and into Panama. Basically an omnivor feeding on insects, algae, seeds and invertebrates. Loves rocky environments and prefers to spawn in caves. Member of Archocentrus grouping.
