Cichlasoma haitiensis

The Odo as the natives of Haiti refer to it, is a medium size predator that primarily lives in lakes. Some spectacular ones have been known to reach 12 or even 14 inches in length. This gorgeous fish with a huge nuchal hump is truly something to behold and because of it's extremely aggressive behavior and numerous black markings we have given it the nickname "Black Nasty". The pictures I have do not do these marvelous fish justice. I regret never taking pictures of the 2 nice males I had when they were full grown.
